Adam has been wishing for several winters now that Kentucky would provide a snow reminiscent of his winters at West Point. Well, five inches might be light by New York standards but the state of KY all but shut down for the day yesterday. Indeed the local NBC affiliate felt it necessary to cancel all regularly scheduled shows in order to report on the snow ALL MORNING LONG.
The excitement was just as palpable at our house. Adam decided we needed some pictures and video of Campbell experiencing - or in his words "playing in" - her first real snow fall. As you'll see in the video, playing is an exaggeration.
We got out the pink snow suit Adam's Mom snagged for her last winter at a sale. Despite being labeled 6-9 months the suit was a little big still. Campbell's feet and arms only extended about half-way down the legs and sleeves. And since she's about three feet tall and the suit was nearly that thick, the resemblance to a classic A Christmas Story moment was uncanny.
